I just finished up getting 6 months of unemployment and was notified that the benefit will end. Is there any extension available or is 6 months the max? I have heard that in the past people received more than 6 months of unemployment?
Thank you for answering the question.

Thanks for your question. The number of weeks of full entitlement you can receive will vary between 10 weeks at a minimum and 26 weeks at a maximum. During high unemployment periods in the past, a federal extension, or emergency unemployment compensation (EUC), was provided when a claimant exhausted their regular benefits. EUC ended as of 12/28/2013. At this time, it has not been determined whether or not EUC will be reinstated in the near future.

If you have additional questions, please feel free to call 208-332-8942.
